Bachelor level:
Arcada's Rector Mona Forsskåhl has been elected to the Board of the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences Arene. The new board took office on 1 January.
The application period to Arcada's bachelor's degree programmes International Business and Mechanical and Sustainable Engineering has now begun, and will remain open until 25th February 2022.
Soft skills are essential in the workplace of the future. To accommodate this need, Arcada together with a group of partners from institutions in the Nordic and Baltic regions is developing a new project helping students to train the required skills.
The Ditepract project began with a kick off meeting in April this year. The project has started quickly and efficiently in accordance with the project plan.
The new HaSuRiski project draws up risk maps of acid sulphate soils in Finland. Within the project, a prototype for a mobile application will be developed. The app uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to model the risk maps and will help experts plan land use in high-risk areas.
The board of the Arcada University of Applied Sciences Ltd has decided to initiate cooperation negotiations with all employees, including the UAS' management.
Arcada's simulation centre has received the The Finnish Society for Patient and Client Safety (SPTY)'s award for exemplary work in improving patient safety through simulation learning and activities.
