Steps towards becoming an even more environmentally friendly university of applied sciences were taken this spring through a co-operation between Arcada and the Finnish design company Globe Hope.

In May, 476 solar panels will be installed on Arcada’s roof. The investment in sustainable energy is important from an environmental point of view, and the solar energy system will also be used in teaching, research and development work at the university of applied sciences.
This spring students of Media Culture at Arcada University of Applied Sciences are working on the comprehensive multimedia project 100 min 100 år (100 minutes 100 years). The project is part of Finland’s official “100 Programme”, and highlights the country’s 100-year celebration.
