Career Path for Ukrainians
Arcada is on a mission to provide support to Ukrainians who came to Finland escaping the war in Ukraine.
Background
More than 60 thousand Ukrainian asylum seekers arrived in Finland after the beginning of the full-scale war in February 2022.
Today, a lot of organisations are offering support to the newcomers, with the special focus on professional integration that is crucial for people who are trying to restart their lives in a new country. This is also important for the Finnish economy as a whole.
The Career Path for Ukrainians project
A group of partners, led by Arcada University, joined forces to contribute to this mission, launching the Career Path for Ukrainians project. The project is a collaboration between Arcada, Borgå Folkakademi, Prakticum and Varuboden-Osla, funded by the The Service Center for Continuous Learning and Employment (SECLE), with the aim of improving employment opportunities for Ukrainians in Finland.
The role of Arcada in this project is to provide services of career counselling in the Ukrainian language, open to any Ukrainian registered as an asylum seeker in Finland.
Additionally, any Ukrainian or Ukrainian-speaking person living in Finland is warmly welcomed to book a meeting with our coach, any time during 2024.
