Published: 18.01.2017 / Education

The application period to the Specialisation Studies in Big Data Analytics – a new and exciting programme at Arcada – has now begun.

To find patterns in and being able to handle the enormous amount of data created by computers and users today, opens for better and more precise fact-based decision-making. Companies and organisations have already realized the opportunities this brings and there is a continuously growing demand of trained big data analytics developers. Arcada now offers specialisations studies that can benefit both students and their employers, as well as open up many new career paths.

The prerequisites for applying is an engineering degree or other formal science degree that the UAS otherwise deem sufficient, as well as prior work experience in software engineering.

The programme, which is held at a master's degree level, comprises six courses which are held between 6.4.2017 - 31.3.2018. During each course you will attend approximately six afternoon lectures at Arcada, while the rest of your studies are conducted independently. The language of instruction is English.

The programme welcomes 30 students and the last day to apply is 19.3.2017.
