With his international background and extensive experience in the higher education sector, Professor of Information Technology Mark Dougherty brings new strengths to the management of Arcada. From August, he will take over as Dean for the Graduate School and Research.
The board of administration has appointed new chairpersons and members for the governing bodies of Arcada University of Applied Sciences. There will be clear continuity in the organisation as all chairpersons have previously held a position of trust at the UAS. At the same time, both the board of administration and the UAS's board are strengthened with new expertise.
On Wednesday 13 March, the application to Arcada's Swedish-language degree programmes at both bachelor's and master's level begins. The application period lasts for two weeks until 27 March at 3 p.m. (Finnish time).

In the 2024 admission to the English-taught bachelor's programmes International Business and Mechanical and Sustainable Engineering, Arcada uses the Dutch OMPT test as a selection method. Fee-paying applicants who are accepted through OMPT receive a discount on the first year’s tuition fee.
